In order to provide better hospitality to the visitors, Department of Tourism & Civil Aviation, Himahal Pradesh would organise various training courses in the State.
Dr Arun Kumar Sharma, Director, Tourism & Civil Aviation said today that two course of Intermediate Skiing for 40 candidates would be organized at Narkanda and Manali. Under Home Stay scheme, training for home stay unit owners would be organized at Shimla, Kangra, Kinnaur, Solan, Mandi, Kullu and Chamba, he added.
Dr. Sharma further said that water sports training for 21 persons would be organized at Pong Dam and mountain biking training for 15 persons at Shimla. Training for taxi drivers under Shimla city tour and tourist guide would also be organized at Shimla. Besides, one course for 31 persons for tourist guide would be organized at Jalog (Sunni), he added.
Director, Tourism said that Rs. 6.65 Lacs would be spent on these training courses and instruction in this regard to all the District Tourism Development Officers (DTDO) had already been issued.
