Family of S. Sobha Singh has no plan to shift Art Gallery
Dharmshala---The Family of S. Sobha Singh has no plan to shift S. Sobha Singh Art Gallery out of Andretta in Kangra district. In a letter written to Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister recently, Dr. Hriday Paul Singh, Grandson of S. Sobha Singh revealed this.
Earlier, Bibi Gurcharan Kaur D/o S. Sobha Singh in a letter to Chief Minister has also expressed gratitude towards Chief Minister for reviving "S. Sobha Singh Kala Purskar" and "S. Sobha Singh Birth Anniversary Celebration Function".
She said that these decisions will inspire the new generation of artists to follow the rich traditions of the fine art of painting established by saint-philosopher-artist S. Sobha Singh Jee. These steps have re-imposed our faith in the policies and programmes of the Government for the spread of art and cultural activities, she added.
She also conveyed the sentiments of deep gratitude of art lovers, admirers of the artist and local population for announcements concerning the great artist.
