Armed Forces Flag Day was observed by pinning the Armed Forces Flag

Dharmshala--Armed Forces Flag Day was observed by pinning the Armed Forces Flag to Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister at Circuit House, Dharamshala today to commemorate the Armed Forces Flag Day and to draw attention of the people in general towards their duty as responsible citizen of the country who owe responsibility towards the injured soldiers, wards of serving and ex-servicemen who were in need of financial and other assistance from the awakened society.
Chief Minister appealed to the people to liberally donate towards the Flag Day Fund which was a major source of providing financial assistance to the families of serving soldiers and ex-servicemen who were facing many financial and other problems in the absence of their bread winner. He said that Fund collected would be spent over the welfare of such families so that the soldiers were free from family worries.
Prof. Dhumal reiterated the resolve of the State Government to protect the interests of serving and ex-servicemen for which the State Government had formulated a number of programmes. He appealed to the people to lend their supportive hand in achieving the objective.
Shri Kishan Kapoor, Industries Minister, Shri Kripal Parmar, former MP, Shri Ajay Bhandari, Secretary, GAD, Shri S.R. Sharma, Deputy Commandant General of Home Guard and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
